I used to have the XM satellite radio until my subscription ran out. I used to love listening to the old Blues station. There was a song that they would play almost every night and I loved it. I THINK it was by a guy named Super Chikan.
The lyrics went something like
“Oooh it aint the same no more…”
The singer talks about growing up in a crackhouse, there were so many cracks in the wall that they had to stuff the cotton up in the cracks to keep out the rain.
I loved this song, it was true old school Mississippi Delta Blues.
Also anybody out there know of any other good stuff? I’ve already got alotta Robert Johnson and Stevie Ray Vaughn and some Muddy Waters. What else is there?

Robert Johnson is considered for classification purposes, a “Delta Blues” performer. Most historians agree

that the roots of all blues music would begin here… the Mississippi Delta. All but one of the following artists would be deemed to be a “Delta Bluesman”.

Charley Patton
Tommy Johnson
Son House
Blind Lemon Jefferson
