What’s your favorite phase of guitarist Gary Moore’s career?

He’s been making records now nearly 40 years. Everything from blues, blues/rock, jazz fusion, metal etc, with various bands, sessions, and as a solo act. He is one of my all time favorite guitarists. What may have hindered his career was the fact that he kept on confusing the listener, especially new fans to his music. He’s covered every spectrum of rock’n'roll over the years, and some people might jump in expecting one thing, and wind up getting something they may not have expected.
Personally I love his diversity, and really appreciate the fact that he can jump back and forth between genres.
A true guitar master!
If you like, you can more precise and name your favorite song and or album too.

What is the best rock, blues, or pop, or country song with a harmonica?

By this, I don’t mean what is the best song that happens to have a note played by a harmonica. I mean what song has the best harmonica part? I would have to say pretty much any Rolling Stones harmonica part. I especially liked a version of “Miss You” I heard that contained a harmonica solo.

Between each set of choices, pick one of the guitarists–the one you think is better. You need not say why. Also, I’ve included what band, if any, each guitarist is best known for as well as what genre they’re best known for playing.

1. Bill Leverty (Firehouse; rock) vs. Matthias Jabs (Scorpions; rock)
2. Warren DeMartini (Ratt; rock) vs. Slash (Guns N’ Roses; rock)
3. George Harrison (Beatles; rock) vs. Pete Ham (Badfinger; rock)
4. Chet Atkins (country; solo artist) vs. Jerry Reed (country; solo artist)
5. Brad Paisley (country; solo artist) vs. Brent Mason (country; session guitarist)
6. Stevie Ray Vaughan (blues; solo artist) vs. Buddy Guy (blues; solo artist)
7. Eric Sardinas (blues; solo artist) vs. Joe Bonamassa (blues; solo artist)
8. Wes Montgomery (jazz; solo artist) vs. Tal Farlow (jazz; solo artist–I think he was a solo artist)

Here’s my choices:
Bill Leverty
Warren DeMartini
Pete Ham
Jerry Reed
Brad Paisley
SRV
Eric Sardinas
Wes Montgomery
