an electric guitar is a type of guitar, blues guitar is a style of playing, but lots of blues guitarists prefer the fender stratocaster, if you want that delta blues sound a dobro or resonator guitar might be called a “blues guitar”
You can play blues on any guitar,some guitars seem to suit the bluesy sound better than others as do some sound more country ie Telecasters. It’s up to you the musician to make it sound how you want it. Give me a Telecaster everytime.so versatile.
