Blues harmonica (harp) cd (modern recording)?
Bradley asked:
I’m just after a decent recording of some quality blues harp musicians on cd. How do I get my hands on this sort of thing.
I love the train sounds the harp can produce.

This is not exactly blues, but if you are looking for some great harmonica music I would suggest the works of the late Peter Ivers.
Peter is now better known as the host of the 1980s music program “New Wave Theater” but was also a fantastic harmonica player and singer in the 1970s. He was very heavily influenced by the Chicago blues sounds of folks like Little Walter and Paul Butterfield.
Unfortunately many of his works are now out of print but a few (the ones with * in the list below) are available from places like Amazon and Tower as Japanese imports.
Discography for Peter Ivers -
